"NOW IT’S DARK: David Lynch Tribute" is a compilation of tracks by Russian sound experimentalists which was born slowly (almost like the “Eraserhead” movie*). The idea of a tribute album first appeared when Sal Solaris recorded the track “With Me” for another compilation album on kultFRONT** using samples from the movie "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me".
Initially kultFRONT decided to compile an album dedicated to the movie director and musician David Keith Lynch in 2008. But most of the musicians who agreed to participate in the project “have lost the ability to create”. Only three projects prepared their dedications which were released in 2012 as a digital EP "Lynch"***.
The idea of creating a full-length album reappeared again after the musical talent of Lynch became more obvious to a larger amount of his movie fans. In 2011 and 2013 his full-length solo albums "Crazy Clown Time" and "The Big Dream" saw the light of day.
Only one track by DMT**** was included in the CD album from the digital EP. This work by Dmitriy Tolmatskiy along with the track "With Me" was also remixed by the Russian musicians Uhushuhu and Mortart*****.
There was only one condition for the compilation participants – “dedication to the film director and musician”. Everyone understood and implemented this “condition” in their own way.
As a result the album “David Lynch Tribute” contains 11 exclusive compositions from Reutoff, Light Collapse, Dvory, Skripp, Wunderblock, Relic Radiation, Kryptogen Rundfunk, Sal Solaris, Arcuation, Povarovo and DMT.
Reutoff have also published an alternative version of their track “Blue Room with no Doors”******.
CD edition is limited to two hundred copies.

"NOW IT’S DARK: David Lynch Tribute" - сборник композиций российских звуковых экспериментаторов, который рождался не спеша (почти как фильм Eraserhead*). Идея альбома-посвящения возникла после того, как проект Sal Solaris записал для другого альбома-сборника kultFRONT композицию With Me**, где были использованы семплы из фильма "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me".

Группа Reutoff отдельно опубликовала альтернативную версию своего трека Blue Room with no Doors*****.
Эпиграфом к этому альбому стали строки из книги David Lynch "Поймать большую рыбу: медитация, осознанность и творчество": "Медитация растворяет вас в океане чистого разума, чистого знания.
