kultFRONT and ZHELEZOBETON present the fourth part of the joint series ZNAKI – a collection of compositions from the St. Petersburg-based noise project Kryptogen Rundfunk. All 15 tracks were recorded in 2003-2006. Most of these recordings were published on small-edition compilations of that period, but some of them remained unreleased until now.

The album “Elusive Trajectories 2003-2006” offers a fresh look at the early period of Kryptogen Rundfunk’s sound in all its diversity. To recall for those who witnessed, to discover for those who only gets acquainted with this world of sharp digital injections polished by dense electronic drone and radio noises. To feel the coldness of the raw sound of Soviet analogue synthesizers which pervades the space with low-frequency vibrations. To get warmed by the pulsations of a drum machine which rumble in a slow industrial dance with a sampler used instead of a vocalist, except for the revolutionary “punk rock” with two vocalists at once. The textures of the tracks vary from dark abstract drone ambient to edgy dashing noise, sometimes falling into delusional, funny rhythmic sketches. Each composition is a separate story. From immersion into the depths of radio waves on a yellowish psychedelic submarine, lasting for 1/5 of an hour. To a one-second collage made of several occasionally found sounds.

Traditionally for the ZNAKI series the artwork was created by the media artist Oleg Paschenko (humanimalien.ru) who has rethought the Kryptogen Rundfunk logo.

The album is released on a CD limited to 300 copies. The musical release is supplemented by a small edition of t-shirts made of premium quality “penye” fabric.

kultFRONT и ZHELEZOBETON представляют четвёртую часть совместной серии ZNAKI – собрание композиций петербургского шумового проекта Kryptogen Rundfunk. Все 15 треков были записаны в 2003-2006 годах. Большая часть этих записей выходила на малотиражных сборниках того периода, но некоторые вещи так и оставались неопубликованными до сих пор.

Альбом «Elusive Trajectories 2003-2006» позволяет посмотреть свежим взглядом на ранний период звучания Kryptogen Rundfunk во всём его многообразии. Вспомнить тем, кто был свидетелем, узнать тем, кто только знакомится с этим миром острых уколов цифровых помех, которые заполированы густым электронным гулом и радиошумами. Почувствовать холод сырого звука советских аналоговых синтезаторов, который пропитывает пространство низкочастотными вибрациями. Согреться пульсациями драм-машины, которые рокочут в неспешном индустриальном танце с сэмплером вместо вокалиста, если не считать революционного «панк-рока», где вокалистов сразу два. Текстуры треков меняются от тёмного абстрактного дроун-эмбиента до резкого забористого нойза, порой сваливаясь в бредово-забавные ритмические зарисовки. Каждая композиция – отдельная история. От погружения в толщу радиоволн на психоделической желтоватой подводной лодке длиной в 1/5 часа. До секундного коллажа из нескольких случайно найденных звуков.

Традиционно для серии ZNAKI дизайн обложки выполнил медиа-художник Олег Пащенко (humanimalien.ru), который переосмыслил логотип Kryptogen Rundfunk.

Альбом выпущен на CD тиражом в 300 копий. Музыкальный релиз дополнен небольшим тиражом футболок из высококачественной ткани «пенье».
